Sask. Mineral Mining
Two minerals are helpings secure Saskatchewan’s future, according to Energy and Resources Minister Bill Boyd. Along with a growing oil and gas industry and the traditional agriculture industry, potash and uranium are products in high global demand. Saskatchewan is the world leader in potash, accounting for 31% of global production rates, while uranium stands at 26%. Boyd is expecting expansion of both sectors.
