Hebron the New Hibernia

The Hebron project is just one example of growth in Newfoundland and Labrador's oil and gas industry. The offshore oilfield is estimated to contain 400 to 700 million barrels of heavy oil. Construction on the project is set to begin in 2012 and the Newfoundland Offshore Industries Association (NOIA) sees significance in the potential for further exploration and development in the region.
