Calgary Company tries THAI

The oil and gas industry is closely watching the success of Calgary based Petrobank with their patented drilling technology. THAI, or toe to heel air injection drilling, has reached the production stage in just five years. According to Chris Bloomer, VP of heavy oil and director of Petrobank Energy, the process not only recovers more of the resource than other technologies, it also promises to be cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
