Oilfield Workers Losing Jobs
Don Herring is the president of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC), an organization that has had to revise its drilling forecast. Herring suggests that the fluctuation of natural gas prices has resulted in less production which, in turn, means that fewer staff will be needed in the future because companies are being forced to downsize and make layoffs.
